To promote understanding about Chinese classical literature, Chunghwa Post released a series of stamps based on the novel "Outlaws of the Marsh". Issued on 25 April 2012, the first set of four stamps, feature “Demons Released (NT$5),” “Slaying the Tiger on Jingyang Ridge (NT$5),” “Mountain God Temple on a Stormy Night (NT$10),” and “Knocking the Lord of the West Dead (NT$25).”
Following the previous two issues on long-horned beetles in 2010 and 2011 respectively. On 9 March 2012, Chunghwa Post issues this third set of four stamps, featuring Leptura formosomontana formosomontana (NT$7), Pyrestes curticornis (NT$12), Anaglyptus meridionalis (NT$15), and Anoplophora albopicta (NT$20).
