A Nice Surprise from Sri Lanka!

Many thanks to Dr. M.J.M. Mikram for this nice surprise in my mailbox today!
The 4 beautiful stamps affixed on the top left of this cover belong to the "Bridges and Culverts in Sri Lanka" series. Released on 27 May 2011,  they depict the Wooden Bridge in Bogoda, Ancient Stone Bridge in Mahakanadarawa, Steel Arch Bridge in Ruwanwella & Suspension Bridge in Peradeniya.
To make up for postage, Dr. Mikram franked a very nice commemorative stamp (bottom right) from the "1st South Asian Beach Games 2011" series. (Issued on 11 Oct 2011)
The inaugural South Asian Beach Games were held in Hambantota, Sri Lanka from 08th to 14th October 2011. Hambantota is a city that is rising to be an economic hub from the ashes of Tsunami and this city has also submitted her bid to hold Commonwealth Games in 2018.

More than 500 athletes and officials from neighbouring countries, namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka participated. India finished first with 11 Gold, 9 Silver and 7 Bronze medals, host Sri Lanka came in second with 9 Gold, 10 Silver and 9 Bronze and third place went to Pakistan with 5 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze.

Dr. Mikram also enclosed 20 mint stamps issued in 2011 & 2012 for my collection. Thank you once again! Look out for my cover to Sri Lanka soon!
