My latest South African cover!!!

Once again, a great thanks to D.Hazell for this lovely cover posted from South Africa! The extreme right stamp shows a portrait of ex-South African President Kgalema Motlanthe. It was issued on 19th March 2009.
Kgalema Motlanthe was the President of South Africa between 25 September 2008 and 9 May 2009.
He is currently serving as Deputy President of South Africa under current South African president Jacob Zuma. He is also concurrently serving as Deputy President of the African National Congress (ANC), again under Zuma.
Motlanthe, who had thus far mained a low public profile, was elected to the presidency of South Africa by the South African National Assembly following the resignation of Mbeki, and was widely considered to be acting as a "caretaker president" on behalf of Zuma. Zuma succeeded Monlanthe on 9 May 2009 in a presidential election held by the South African National Assembly, following the 2009 general election which had been won by the ANC. Motlanthe was South Africa's first Tswana-speaking President.

The second portrait stamp on this cover features the current South African President Jacob Zuma, the Presidential Coat of Arms and the Union Buildings in the background. It was issued on 10 November 2009.
The Post Office honours all South African Presidents with a stamp and in terms of its stamp policy, Heads of State and former Heads of State are the only living people who can feature on stamps. President Zuma is the fourth president since South Africa's democracy to be honoured in this manner.
Zuma said he was honoured and that the stamp would be the country's "smallest but vital ambassador".

The 2 animal stamps franked on the left depict the African Penguin, also known as the Black-footed Penguin and the African striped weasel.

They belong to a beautiful set of stamps, entitled "South African Animals", issued in 1993.
That's all folks! Have a great weekend!
