Special thanks also to Vural Oguz, director of ICCC in providing these special arrangements.Mongol Post, the Mongolian national mailing services has an impressive collection of different stamps in a wide variety of themes. Often they depict traditional Mongolian themes like noblemen or Buddhist deities, but also the animals that inhabit the steppe, mountains and desert of Mongolia and important events such as the visit of president Bush. More international themes include Space, joint issues with countries like India and even Princess Diana.
The stamps franked on the Mongolian cover are: Giant Pandas, 1977 (top right), Livestocks of Mongolia, 2004 (horse stamps) & Butterflies and moths, 1990 (second row, left).
The lovely stamps franked on the Serbian cover belong to the WWF, protected Species - Black Woodpecker (Dryocopus martius) series, issued on 6th April 2007.
