Beautiful birds cover from Belgium!

Today I would like to share with you a lovely cover, which I received from Belgium recently. Thank you Thomas! These beautiful bird stamps on the cover were designed by well-known philatelic artist, André Buzin.

André Buzin is a Belgian artist who paints animals and flowers. Buzin designed his first stamps for Zaire in 1984. He went on to design more stamps for many countries including Mauritania, Rwanda and Luxembourg.
He is particularly known on the philatelic scene for his Birds series, a definitive stamp series of Belgium that began in 1985. About 120 stamps have been issued so far and the series is continuing. Thanks to this series he was awarded the 'Prix du Roi' in 1995.

Here are the latest Birds series issued by Belgium Post between 2004 and 2008. Some of the earlier issues. Aren't they beautiful?
